Are You Ready to Spell-a-Brate?

The Spell-a-Bration is a PTA fundraiser that gives students the chance to earn money for their school by learning! Please encourage your child to participate.

Here’s How It Works

  1. Help your child collect pledges for each word he or she can spell correctly on the Spell-a-Bration spelling test to be held Wednesday, October 31 before the school Glossaries Instead of Ghouls: Vocabulary Parade. Individuals can donate a flat amount or a per-word amount. Please return the pledge sheet to your child’s teacher by Wednesday, October 31.
  2. Help your child study the spelling words for his or her grade. These words have been selected by your child’s teacher and come straight from the curriculum.
  3. All students will take the Spell-a-Bration spelling test on Wednesday, October 31 before the school Glossaries Instead of Ghouls: Vocabulary Parade. Tests will be graded and pledge sheets will be returned showing how much each student earned based on how many words he or she spelled correctly. All donations are due on Friday, November 16. We accept payments online, cash, or checks made payable to the Tulip Grove Elementary School PTA.

Prizes! Prizes! Prizes!

  • Every student who turns in a pledge sheet and will receive a no homework pass.
  • The one student who earns the most money in each classroom will receive a $10 Target gift card.
  • The one classroom that has the most students with pledge sheets will receive a Popsicle party.

A Great Way to Raise Money for TGE!

Do you know what would happen if every student brings in just one $10 pledge? We would raise over $3,000 for the school! Imagine what we could do with pledges of $20, $30, or more!

All students will take the spelling test, so why not make at least one pledge? Everyone benefits—our students learn words they need to know and all money raised goes directly to pay for field trips, teacher supplies, After school enrichment programs, and other critical needs at TGES.
