Volunteers are the backbone of any organization. Research shows that when parents are involved in their children's education, children are more likely to:

  • increase their academic achievement including higher test scores and grades
  • promote positive self-esteem
  • attend school regularly
  • have better social skills
  • and so much more!

There are many ways you can volunteer at Tulip Grove! Volunteers can help out both the PTA or the school directly. The PTA hosts events throughout the year including the Back to School Play date, the Fall Festival, and Cookies and Cocoa. If you are interested in volunteering at a PTA event, look for sign ups at Back to School night or email tulipgrovepta@gmail.com

Volunteers may also help out the school directly by being a chaperone on a field trip, assisting at the book fair, or helping our teachers in the classrooms. There are many ways you can help out!

Before you can volunteer at the school and go on field trips you *must* complete your Fingerprinting Background Check, Child Protective Services Clearance, and Watch the Safety Videos. All school volunteers must have Fingerprinting completed through PGCPS . . . (even Police Officers, Government Clearance, etc.)

Also, ALL PARENTS who volunteer with the school must resubmit Safety Training Videos Annually. Once completed please provide copies of all documents to Mrs. Castillo in the Main Office.

Please note, you do not need to get a Fingerprinting background check to volunteer for PTA sponsored activities. If you have any questions about volunteering for the school or for the PTA please contact Mrs. Castillo in the main office or the TGES PTA at tulipgrovepta@gmail.com
